Forgive me, but I just have to share a few pictures of my newly-two-year-old Lillian!

Remember the little girl in my house who went through a phase of sticking paper up her nose? She struck again. Honestly, I do not know how this quantity of paper can get so far up a nostril of that size. And as traumatic as the removal is, man, it must feel sooooo good when it is out! Arnel says it would be gross to take a picture so I guess you are spared the visual.
On a more pleasant note, I have been asked to vend at a fundraiser crop again next month so had to stock up on some scrapping goodies. I can't wait until my package arrives, but will have to contain myself until after the crop and not use anything for now.

Got this in an email today and thought there was some really good stuff...I'll bet all of us can relate to one or more of these...
If the devil were to write his beatitudes, they would probably go something like this:
1. Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend an hour once a week with their fellow Christians - they save me the effort of trying to keep them from God's blessings.
2. Blessed are those Christians who wait to be asked and expect to be thanked - its pretty easy to keep them from working for God.
3. Blessed are the touchy who stop going to church - they are my missionaries.
4. Blessed are the trouble makers - they shall be called my children.
5. Blessed are the complainers - I'm all ears for them.
6. Blessed are those who are bored with the minister's mannerisms and mistakes - for they get nothing out of his sermons.
7. Blessed is the church member who expects to be invited to his own church - for he is a part of the problem instead of the solution.
8. Blessed are those who gossip - for they shall cause strife and division - that pleases me.
9. Blessed are those who are easily offended - for they will soon get angry and quit.
10. Blessed are those who do not give their offering to carry on God's work - for they are my helpers.
11. Blessed is he who professes to love God but hates his brother and sister - for they shall be with me forever.

I got a new toy!
One too many things finally gave out on our printer/scanner/copier. Between homeschooling, scrapbooking and just having a lot of people in the house, that thing was a workhorse! So yesterday I picked out all by myself a new one and went and bought it! I usually leave the research on this kind of thing to Arnel but I was in a hurry to get one and was going out doing errands so just went for it! Arnel did tell me he was happy to stick with HP since this last one of ours was HP and has been the best of all the different ones we've used, so that helped immensely in narrowing down what I had to research, but there were still a surprising number of options! Anyway, he says I did good. Still working out how to work everything on the new one but having fun doing so!
Oh, if anyone cares, it is an HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-One.

The School of Scrap is growing faster than our current faculty can keep up with and we need help! We are currently searching for 3-4 new faculty members (known also as Design Team members) to join our creative team for a term of six months. Could you be who we are looking for?
Our faculty is the heart of our site, creating a sense of community and providing inspiration to our members. We are looking for 3-4 creative, team-oriented and above all FUN people to join us in this endeavor. As a faculty member, you will have your own themed classroom and freedom (within guidelines) to choose challenges to post within that classroom.
What do you get?
First and foremost, the chance to be a member of the freshest scrapbooking site on the web!
Design Team experience
Free products from our generous sponsors, on a rotating basis, to work with for your Design Team sponsor submissions
More fun than a person should be allowed to have!
What do you do?
Our faculty requirements are as follows:
Commit to posting regular challenges (at least once per month) in your classroom; being an active participant in student conversation within your classroom; keep accurate records of students completing challenges, as they may be eligible to receive a RAK periodically!
Be an active member in our forum outside of your own classroom.
Submit layouts and/or projects on a deadline with the materials provided by our sponsors on a rotating basis.
Submit projects to your personal gallery.
Participate in other School of Scrap online events as needed (generally no more than quarterly,) such as cyber-crops, contest judging, etc.
Promote The School of Scrap among other scrapbookers, within guidelines of the board/group/etc. you are on.
Be at least eighteen years of age and a resident of the United States. (We are sorry, but at this time cost of shipping to international scrappers is prohibitive.)
How do you apply?
Share with us three of your favorite projects. No requirement as to whether they are layouts, altered projects, mini-album…we want to see it all! Note, too, that I said “favorite,” not “best.” We want to see what of your work you just love, what makes you happy, the stuff you are eager to do more of. We love a happy staff!
Also include a brief bio including how long you’ve been scrapping, your favorite techniques, lines, and/or subjects…anything you’d like us to know.
If you wish, you can also send us a link to any online galleries you have that you would like us to visit to get a better idea of your work.
Let us know the best way to reach you.
Send all of the above to lisa@theschoolofscrap.com in jpeg format, in a minimum of 300x300 size. Please put “Faculty Submission” as your subject line.
Deadline for submissions: January 31, 2007
New faculty members announced: February 12, 2007

Here is one for all your Seinfeld fans...The streak is over.
Yup, it got me, too. At least I lost a couple pounds.
Due to both boys being sick and Lil and I still being on the mend, the family trip to the youth group lock-in for New Year's Eve was scrapped. Arnel, Laura, Julia and Pablo went and us sickies stayed home. It hit Arnel and Pablo while they were there apparently, though just early stages, and Laura may be having a second go-round. Interestingly enough, our friend Jeff prayed for Arnel when he was starting to get sick and within the hour he was on the mend. He is still sick but is about like me, just a bit queasy and weak, but seems to have skipped over the worst part.
One more week of vacation and then back to school. I need to start thinking "planning" again. Arnel has tomorrow off but goes back to work on Wednesday.
I think I may be developing a gallstone. And at the moment I have a very painful zit inside my nose. Aren't you glad you read this blog?
I mentioned Pablo earlier...he has been here since Friday, sleeping in our basement. Arnel will drive him back to his mom's house tomorrow. The boys have appreciated having another guy around to even things out.
We've been having fun playing Mad Gab, the game we got Arnel for Christmas.
I think that brings you all back up to speed...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
