Fall is falling...

Yep. Brown and yellow leaves. I sat and watched them fall out the window. Lots of them. In August. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE fall. But this is AUGUST.

Just some quick random updates while I have a minute this morning.

Football is going well though Gabe just told me this morning that one boy on his team has already broken a bone in his hand and another sprained something... It looks like he is going to be either a tackle or guard of some kind.

Lillian is totally obsessed with her tricycle. It is the only thing I have seen her play with all by herself for any length of time (or with someone else for that matter) and I really believe she would do it indefinitely if we let her. She brings it in the house and rides it around in circles in here even. We are thinking it might be time to get some training wheels for our littlest bike. When I think about it I don't know why this surprises me as it fits perfectly with what I know about her personality. The girl is all about large motor/muscle activity.

Julia is going to be head coach for a team of Under-5 boys soccer this fall and had her first practice and her parent meeting yesterday. She was so organized and calm about the whole thing. I am so proud of her!

Arnel had his 45th birthday this week. Which every year serves to remind me that I have another one coming up right around the corner, too! Did you all notice how much closer together they are now compared to when we were kids?

Speaking of kids, they thought it was really necessary to put the full 45 candles on the cake.

And...I am also now the mother of a third contact lens - wearer! We all agreed that it might be nice if Gabe had contacts rather than his glasses before he starts tackle football in a few weeks so he is now on his second day with his trial pair and loving it so far!

I almost forgot what absolutely gorgeous eyes that guy has...

As of yesterday I am now the mother of an officially licensed driver...way to go, Jules!!!
